OUR PRICING METHODOLOGY

Since we opened our lab doors in 2018, we've branded ourselves as the beauty lab for entrepreneurs.

Over the past 3 years we have all faced significant challenges, which have changed the way we think about starting up a company.

Our solutions are specifically geared to enable founders to scale and grow with us: from semi-DIY options (bulk), to BYOP, and total turnkey, you're learning, growing and scaling with us, together, in a partnership as we slowly unbridle the onus of manufacturing from you, one step at a time.

Although some will view our latest pricing choices (and sliding scale small order fee) as an unconventional choice, rest assured that we've created it with founders in mind. We want to offer you at-scale pricing to push you to get there, while still ensuring we cover our base costs so we can keep our doors open. We've created this system to allow us to say "Yes, and.." to every entrepreneur that reaches out. There's a path for all.

ABOUT OUR PRICING

All pricing starts at 5k units, but we can always manufacture less with a small order fee, which decreases the more you order until hitting 5k pcs, the first step of "scaled" manufacturing. Below you'll find our small order fee table.

The fee applies whether the order is
PL turnkey, or BYOP = bring your own packaging. You can find the 5k BYOP pricing on each page, next to the 5k pcs turnkey pricing.

The packaging included in the pricing is listed by its item number and size, and also includes 1 color of screenprinting. It's meant to serve as an anchor to help you understand our approximate pricing, but it's not the end all be all. Customization is encouraged!

There are 4 main categories of formulation, from diffusion to super luxury. The bulk pricing is set by category. The set pricing structure makes it easy to understand the formulation costs on a per ounce basis. For more than 120kg, ask for a custom quote.

What about Formula Customizations?

For bulk formulas, you can choose your scent (you don't have to go with the default). We'll send you a scent set in the mail once you order bulk, or you can purchase yourself on our site under the "extras" tab. For cosmetics, you can choose your colors, of course. For more changes, see CPC.

While you can change the scent, other modifications are not allowed without moving to the CPC program. For cosmetics, you can choose your color of course.

The CPC (custom product creation) program now has 2 variants, which cost $1000-$2000. These programs allow you to work with a chemist (via email or zoom, respectively) to customize the formulas by adding or removing ingredients, to get exactly what you want.

Once your changes are solidified, you can manufacture in bulk, private label or BYOP with us.

How can I know the cost of production custom formulas in advance?

When you discuss a CPC/custom formula with us, we'll discuss + assign a formulation category (1-4; diffusion, mass market, luxury or super luxe) with you. If your requests during the formulating period will result in changes to your category, we'll let you know.

Although the final costs will depend on packaging and size, as well as other inclusions, you can get an idea of your costs by finding a similar packaging/sized formulation in the catalog with the same category.

For example, if you're making a serum, category 3 / luxury, find another serum that's the luxury category, like "Berry Hydrating HA Drops". The price is $5.25/pc at 5k in a 20ml dropper with 1 color screenprint. You can expect extremely similar, if not the same, pricing. For size or packaging changes, consult your account manager.
